THE PRODUCT CHALLENGE
Simple to discover. More involved to build.
The idea is easy to understand: connect event organizers with photographers, caterers, food trucks, rental companies, and other local vendors. The challenge is making that useful for both sides while giving the business the controls it needs to operate.
Discovery, service areas, account ownership, membership access, notifications, promotions, and moderation all need to work together. MeetBongo is a ground-up development project rather than a visual redesign of an existing marketplace.
01 / DISCOVERYCategories and local relevance.
Vendor categories, subcategories, ZIP/radius search, and service areas help connect visitors with suitable businesses. The product is planned around an Oklahoma launch with a structure that can support additional markets.
02 / VENDOR EXPERIENCEAccounts that fit the business.
One vendor account represents one business and membership. Profiles, photos, plan information, and opportunities have dedicated places in the vendor area, with different presentation and access rules by membership tier.
03 / REQUESTS & OPPORTUNITIESA workflow beyond a directory.
Organizer requests, category-and-location matching, notifications, and hiring confirmation turn a listing site into a working process. Automated matched leads are reserved for the Ultimate plan; direct-selection rules are handled separately.
04 / MEMBERSHIPS & PROMOTIONSBusiness rules made explicit.
Basic, Pro, and Ultimate plans are supported by promotion definitions, eligibility checks, redemption history, and administration controls. Promotional access is kept separate from permission to start charging a vendor.
05 / PLATFORM OPERATIONSTools for running the service.
Administration includes vendor and category management, feedback moderation, promotion tools, and reporting. Featured placements and food-truck discovery have their own presentation and business rules.
06 / PAYMENT FOUNDATIONVerify the payment—not just the return.
Owner-only PayPal sandbox testing has confirmed a completed Pro payment and cancellation, with history retained. A return from checkout or an active subscription alone is not treated as proof that money was received.
